A Word From The (Acting) Vice President

 

Greetings to All,

 

For those of you out there that don’t know me, my name is Jim Barry (usually called Popeye) and I have been asked to step in as Vice President until the next AGM.

 

I am pleased to take on the role out of respect for Terry Dew, as I believe his attitude towards the people and the club is and has been great and a real credit to him and members of the committee.

 

We, as bike riders, all agree it’s a club for members’ families etc and I have some ideas on expanding the clubs interactions, both with members and outside events. 

 

I look forward to changes in our rides, i.e. trophies awarded to best presented bikes etc on each run,  mini bike shows, more poker runs, progressive runs are just a few. 

Involvement in events for people and children with disabilities is another good way to promote our club and also have a fun day.

 

Our club can only be as good as the members want….let me know of any thoughts or ideas you also have…I am sure many of you would like to do more and get more from your club.
